Tuesday Evening

We are all nice and full from our delicious dinner which included a choice of toad in the hole, BBQ chicken, chips and a scrumptious salad. Apple crumble was a welcome change to the dessert menu although some of us just couldn't resist more ice cream!
After dinner we went back to tidy our rooms ready for an inspection. We are happy to announce that no wet items are drying on the floor or in a wardrobe and there are clean paths leading to our beds ready for this evening!
Currently, we are playing Cluedo (the clue is in the name) and we are helping P.C Plod solve a devious crime.
Here are some more photos from today. Look out for more pictures tomorrow where you may not quite recognise us wearing mud!

DAY 2 - Tuesday

Well most of us seemed to sleep well last night - a little bit of boisterous activity in one of the boys' rooms woke Mr Lloyd at about 1.30am. I'm sure that won't happen tonight after he made sure they were up nice and early for breakfast! Talking of breakfast, we enjoyed, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and scrambled eggs, sausages and waffles. All followed by toast. We were ready for anything!

Just as well because we followed that with raft building and buggy building - both needing us to practise our knotting skills. The bravest of us then launched our rafts in the outdoor 'heated' pool. With the wind whipping across the site, we didn't stay in long!

After a short break, some of us tried our hands at circus skills whilst others attempted orienteering. All of this strenuous activity meant lunch was a welcome sight. We recovered our strength with choices of fish and chips, hot dogs, chicken pasta and, of course, strawberry ice cream. Now we were ready for what the afternoon brought us.

Despite the odd heavy shower we mastered iniative exercises and more buggy building. A change to the itinerary for some groups who couldn't face the outdoor pool again in 'Wet and Whacky' meant we could be found enjoying the delights of the indoor soft play area. Others are trying their skills at archery, whilst the ones who did not attempt raft building this morning are having a go this afternoon.

After dinner, we look forward to finding out what Cluedo is all about!

A few more photos from today's adventures.

Of course, we can't forget that we had a birthday to celebrate. Where better than at a camp fire?

Don't forget the birthday cake!

Good fun was had at the campfire tonight - some of us showing hitherto unknown talents! We are now settling in for our first night.

Day one in Mill Rythe

We all arrived safely this morning in the pouring rain. We met our instructors for the week and played some "get-to-know-you" games and got very wet in the process.
At lunch time we had an "indoor picnic" and then headed to our chalets! There was much excitement over the bunk beds and the fact that we have access to a play area, which was tested out during free time. Hurrah the sun had finally caught up with us!
We then experienced our first activities. Some of us showed off our circus skills whilst others used our initiative in team games. We were hoping to have seen Mr. Martin around this time but he'd taken a rather long "diversion" - but don't worry he soon caught up with us in time for dinner!
After our first activities for the week, our bellies were truly beginning to rumble and we could not wait to sample the fantastic feast in store. We had a choice of veggie burger, shepherd’s pie and chicken pasta topped with a variety of salad options and curly fries (which even the teachers got excited about!)
We then completed a fire drill and are now off to our evening activity - Campfire!

Photos from our day will follow shortly but here are a few of some of us having fun!
