Wednesday

Well, another day is nearly over! After a full day's activities yesterday, all children were asleep by 10.30pm. Some were even asleep before lights out! This meant a very easy night for the adults. There was not much noise in the morning either. A lot of children had to be woken up ready for the day ahead.

However, after a bleary-eyed start, breakfast soon sorted us out. After the yoghurt, cereal and toast, we filled up on sausage, scrambled egg and beans. We were ready for anything! Just as well because two groups ventured to the beach to try their skills at raft-building, whilst another sampled bushcraft. Yes - they really taught us how to light fires! Two other groups enjoyed Ultimate Frisbee and making music on computers.

During the morning Mrs Charlton came to visit us and we had great fun showing her around the site and telling her what we had been getting up to. She joined us for lunch. Today we had a choice of Cornish pasty and chips, pasta bake or pizza and chips. It was delicious! But there was no time to rest because before we knew it we were off again. This time we tried our hand at Aeroball, indoor climbing, Nightline, obstacle course and quad biking.

Were were ready for dinner then! The choice was chicken pie or jumbo sausage, mashed potato, mixed veg and cauliflower followed by apple crumble and custard.

Now we are enjoying a camp fire with marshmallows and hot chocolate. We will definitely be ready for our beds again.
